Chefs Kitch Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the Chefs Kitch team ("we", "us") about using the Chefs Kitch app and chefskitch.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Chefs Kitch.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chefs Kitch. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account and household

Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password private, and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

Anyone who joins your household with your invite code can see and change the household's fridge, lists, recipes and plans. Only share your invite code with people you trust.

Food safety and allergies

Chefs Kitch is a helper, not a guarantee. Allergy and "never serve" checks read recipe text and can miss hidden ingredients, brand differences or cross-contact. Shelf-life estimates, expiration reminders, cooking times and tips are general guidance and can be wrong.

Always read food labels, follow safe food handling, cook food to safe temperatures, and use your own judgment, especially for serious allergies. Chefs Kitch does not give medical, dietary or nutrition advice.

AI and recipe content

Some features use AI to write meal plans, recipes, answers and cooking tips, and to read receipts. AI can make mistakes, so review what it suggests before you rely on it.

Recipes from outside sources (such as Spoonacular) belong to their owners and are shown under those sources' terms. Prices are estimates and will differ from what your store charges.

What you add

You keep ownership of the recipes, notes and photos you add. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run Chefs Kitch for you and your household. If we add features for sharing recipes publicly, nothing will be shared unless you choose to share it.

Only add content you have the right to use, and do not add anything illegal, hateful, harassing or that invades someone else's privacy.

Using Chefs Kitch fairly

Do not misuse the app: no trying to get into other households' data, getting around security, overloading or attacking the service, copying data in bulk with automated tools, or reselling the app or its content.

Testing period and changes

Chefs Kitch is new and still being tested. Features may change, pause or be removed, and things may occasionally break. We work to keep your data safe, but please keep your own copy of anything you cannot replace.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk.

Disclaimers

Chefs Kitch is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, always available, or that its information (including allergy checks, food safety guidance, AI content and prices) is complete or accurate.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, from using Chefs Kitch. Our total responsibility for any claim about Chefs Kitch is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded Chefs Kitch from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, the new version will appear in the app and on chefskitch.com with a new date. For important changes, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use Chefs Kitch after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA.
